This is NOT a funny story. I have been a lifelong Elvis fan since his very beginning but was appalled when I heard about the chimp's treatment long ago. And let's not forget about the story that he was poisoned. (1) no member of the ape family should be kept as a pet -- they are "GROUP" animals & need to be kept w-their own kind (2) keeping him caged is akin to keeping you or me in a cage. His treatment was inhumane. I'd love to hear what Jane Goodall would have to say about it.
